"Beethoven’s Fantasy: yesterday, now & beyond" promises to be a remarkable orchestral music event, celebrating the enduring legacy of Beethoven's Symphony No. 9. It will feature innovative works by Tanja Elisa Glinsner and So Ho Chi, both lauded recipients of the prestigious Helmut Sohmen Composition Prize. Their compositions, inspired by the iconic symphony, will offer a contemporary interpretation of Beethoven's genius. The Academy Symphony Orchestra will also join forces with the Academy Choir to bring a performance of Beethoven's Choral Fantasy. This synthesis of classic and modern, honoring the past while looking to the future, encapsulates the spirit of musical evolution and the timeless influence of Beethoven's work.

At the BPS Symphonic Band 40th Anniversary Concert, BPS Symphonic Band and Belilios Winds (alumni of BPS Symphonic Band) would come together to perform as a joint band on 19 May 2024 (Sun).

The BPS String Orchestra, Belilios Old Girls’ Strings and BOGA Choir would perform as special guests to celebrate this unforgettable event together. We sincerely invite everyone to share joy with us!

Based on the Paramount movie by Mike White, “School of Rock the Musical” with new music by Andrew Lloyd Webber, lyrics by Glenn Slater and a book by Julian Fellowes.

The show follows Dewey Finn, a failed, wannabe rock star who decides to earn an extra bit of cash by posing as a substitute teacher at a prestigious prep school. There, he turns a class of straight–A pupils into a guitar-shredding, bass-slapping, mind-blowing rock band, trying to win the upcoming Battle of the Bands contest.

Andrew Lloyd Webber composed 14 new songs for the show, which additionally features all the original songs from the movie. “You’re in the Band” and “Stick it to the Man” are well on their way to becoming rock solid standards, while the finale with “Teacher’s Pet” will bring audiences to their feet, night after night.

Experience the captivating concert Beautiful Harmony featuring internationally awarded pianist Niu Niu and rising star flautist Cocomi. Their enchanting musicianship transcends borders as they weave melodies together, creating tranquil harmonies with pleasing notes. Niu Niu's masterful interpretations of the piano and Cocomi's sensational touch on the flute enlighten the audience. In a delightful addition, the concert will feature a mesmerising poetry reading, where the spoken word intertwines with enchanting music, evoking emotions and painting vivid imagery.
