Biography
Originally from the United States, Allison Leger has resided in Asia since 2010, when she was awarded a Fulbright Fellowship to teach at Macau Polytechnic University. After completing her fellowship in Macau, Allison served as a lecturer and programme leader in the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at the Community College of City University (later known as UOW College Hong Kong). She has taught and developed a range of courses in the arts, cultural studies, humanities, communication, and language. Allison obtained her MFA in Motion Picture Arts from Florida State University, after completing her undergraduate studies in theatre and visual arts at Troy University in her home state of Alabama. Her films have been featured in festivals in the United States and Europe. She also received The Bricker Humanitarian Award and a College Television Award, presented by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. Her theatrical photographs have been published in The New York Times, The Boston Globe, Variety, and numerous regional publications. Allison has travelled to more than 40 countries and is passionate about the arts and cultural exploration. She enjoys life in Hong Kong with her Siamese cat, Henry.
