    Audition and Selection Requirements:

    In addition to meeting the Academy pre-requisites for entry into their chosen programme, applicants will be invited to attend an audition and interview to ascertain their suitability for entry into the school.

    Audition for Local Applicants

    First Round Audition:

    Audition Format: Face to Face Audition           
    (Shortlisted applicants will receive email invitations before the date of 1st round audition.)

    Date: 23-24 Jan 2027 (Dance Performance or Choreography major)           
    Audition Format: Face to Face Audition / Interview   
     

    Audition for Non-local Applicants

    First Round Audition:

    Fon non-local applicants who are unable to attend an audition in person with specific reasons must submit a recently recorded 20-minute digital video. The video should include a technique class and a solo in the applicant’s chosen major dance study. Applicants who are able to attend an audition in person do not need to submit a portfolio with their application.

    * With support and permission of School of Dance, HKAPA to assist in these Mainland and overseas auditions.  
    All fees will not be collected through any agencies. Applicants should submit application via HKAPA official website.  
     

    Master of Fine Arts in Dance

    Shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend an interview (to be conducted in English) between January and April. Applicants would be required to articulate their previous practice, demonstrate knowledge of the dance ecosystem, and express their intention of research areas.
