School of Dance Summer Performances held from June 4 to 5 at the Academy Lyric Theatre, is a long awaited annual production showcasing our talented dance students with three new works presented in various style, quality and theme, all sharing one essence: Unity and Togetherness.
A new piece named Coven was especially choreographed for contemporary dance students by School of Dance Artist-in-residence Mickael ‘Marso’ Riviere from the UK – an imaginary sanctuary that gives us a sense of unity, bonding us together as one. Choreographed by Anh Ngoc Nguyen, Till We Meet Again is a contemporary ballet that ties love, joy, sorrow, hope, spirituality, and emotions. Drum《鼓‧道‧行》is a breathtaking contemporary Korean-style choreography by Yu Pik-yim and Li Zhangliang. The “breathing” and “rhythm”, “yin” and “yang” resonate with the inner power and strength of the dancers.
