Lecturer (Music Recording)
Albert Ho is a Lecturer in Music Recording with more than 30 years of experience teaching music and music recording in higher education.
He started his career as a musician and composer in Hong Kong, working in a wide variety of genres and media. He found his true passion in classical music recording 25 years ago, and shifted his career focus to this specialty.
Today, in addition to teaching, Albert is frequently invited to speak about classical music at talks organised by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department and RTHK. He was also invited to serve on the adjudicator’s panel for the 3rd China Record Association Student Competition, and to speak at the 2018 Recording Summit of the China Record Association. Albert published two books about classical music on 1991 and 1993 respectively.
Albert holds the Master of Music and a Diploma in Education from the Chinese University of Hong Kong and is a member of the Composers and Authors Society of Hong Kong (CASH). He is also an Avid Certified Instructor of the AVID Pro tools.
Albert’s current research involves the study and international exchange of immersive audio recording and binaural 3D recording for classical music.
