The Assistant Manager (Front-of-House) will work directly under the Senior Manager of Venue Performance Unit in discharging duties in relation to the administration and daily operation of the Academy’s front-of-house services, including recruitment, training and management of part-time ushers. The appointee is also required to provide support in other venue management functions.  He/She is required to work irregular shifts including in the evenings, on weekends and on public holidays according to needs of venue operations.

Applicants should have:

(a)  A bachelor’s degree from a Hong Kong university or equivalent, preferably relating to customer services/venue operations/performing arts administration/human resources;

(b)  At least 3 years of experience in customer services, or performing arts venue management or similar areas of work;

(c)  Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese. Proficiency in Putonghua will be an advantage; and

(d)  Good organizational ability, strong interpersonal and communication skills.


Appointment will be on a two-year contract with the possibility of renewal, subject to mutual agreement. A gratuity payment equal up to 10% of basic salary earned during the contract period will be payable upon satisfactory completion of contract.  Fringe benefits include leave, medical, and dental benefits. Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
