The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA) held its annual Open Day today. The event drew nearly 8,500 visitors with their families and friends to the main campus in Wanchai and the Bėthanie Landmark Heritage campus in Pokfulam. During the day, visitors participated in almost 100 free programmes presented by the Academy students and faculty, including performances, open classes, film screenings and exhibitions in Chinese opera, dance, drama, music, film and television, theatre and entertainment arts to enjoy the fun of performing arts. Visitors were amazed to visit the backstage that was usually off limits.

In collaboration with the Alumni Association, the Academy had invited two distinguished alumni Rachel Cheung Wai-ching, award-winning young pianist and Chiu Sin-hang, the principal singer and guitarist of the rock band ToNick to share the life of pop music and classical music with the public today.
