Mnemonic is a reconstruction of fragmented memories. This crossing of different orbits and timelines constructs with Virgil’s retrieving his lost love in memories and searching for an absent father. It’s at the same time coherent with the discovery of the lonely iceman in Changbai Mountain. Memory is not the truth, but fragments of connections. We reflect, explore and forge ahead in these intricate interconnections and the emptiness of daily lives. In order to battle with loneliness, we have to grabble the predecessors’ orbit to discover our identities in this lost world.
