Conceptual drawings of the future Academy Library designed by the Lead Consultant.
The Project creates an Information Commons and a Learning Commons of 130 sqm for collaborative learning and library activities. Three group study rooms equipped with advanced educational technology will be added to the upper ground floor of the library. A Research Consultation Room and more leisure reading space will be added to the library main area. Study environment will also be improved through enhancements of information technology, lightings and air-conditioning, etc.
In consultation with academic staff and students, the Project should start in summer where academic activity is low. The Library Renovation Working Group decided to roll out the renovation in summer 2014 if Government approval were received on time. Otherwise the Project will begin in summer 2015.
