Biography

Eric Lui graduated from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (the Academy) and obtained an Advanced Diploma in Stage Management in 1991 and a Master of Fine Arts in Theatre and Entertainment Arts in 2012 majoring in Technical Direction.  After graduation, he served as the resident stage manager of the Hong Kong Cultural Centre, the production manager of the Chung Ying Theatre Company, and the resident technical manager of the Hong Kong Leisure and Cultural Services Department - New Territories South.  He is currently a senior lecturer in production management at the Academy.  He has participated in stage and production management, sound design, and music composition for many Hong Kong and overseas performing groups.  Eric built up his career in the Academy as an external advisory member and guest lecturer of School of Theatre and Entertainment Arts. Meanwhile, he was also a committee member of the Hong Kong Federation of Drama Societies, the honorary secretary and a committee member of the Hong Kong Association of Theatre Technicians & Scenographers committee member.  Eric is currently an examiner of the Hong Kong Arts Development Council – Drama, Arts Administration & Arts Education.
