Biography
Tse Kam-po is the Senior Lecturer in Sound. Since an early age, he has already been enchanted by time, frequency, and amplitude – the key attributes of sound.
Prior to joining the Academy, Kam-po served as the Head of Sound at HKICC Lee Shau Kee School of Creativity from 2009 to 2015, during which he created intensely breath-taking and critically acclaimed sonic experiences for the audio-visual productions of Noise to Signal Series and Kill the Silence Festivals . He also spent more than ten years specialising in sound system optimisation, designing the sound systems of such notable experimental music performances as Choi Sai Ho: Audio-Visual Live, Volt In Music: First Touch of Electricity, Primary Shapes & DJ Tommy: Blending Worlds, and Choi Sai Ho: Live. Kam-po holds a BFA from the HKAPA, majoring in Theatre Sound Design and Music Recording. He also obtained a Postgraduate Certificate in Sound Engineering from the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia in Italy.
Since joining academia, he has been focusing on sound system design, loudspeakers alignment and system optimisation. He provides comprehensive training by combining essential practical skills and working vocabularies of the audio world to enable students to realise their professional and artistic goals.
