Biography
Vincent Cheung has been active in the Hong Kong film industry since the early 2000s. He began his career at Hong Kong Television Broadcasts Limited as a visual producer, creating promotional videos and short programs. In 2006, he served as the Visual Effects Supervisor for feature films such as A Mob Story and Fate, produced by Andrew Lau. By 2008, he joined the Post Production Office, contributing to over 50 TV commercials for major brands like Coca-Cola, McDonald's, Olay, and Chevrolet. He also designed post-production pipelines for films including Hot Summer Days and As The Light Goes Out.
In 2014, Vincent took on the role of Visual Effects Supervisor and Film Director at the renowned VFX company DIGITAL DOMAIN. His notable projects include work for Toyota, Estee Lauder, Nike, and SONY. His project Cross Fire earned the Gold Award at the 2017 ECI Awards.
Expanding his expertise, Vincent ventured into VR filmmaking in late 2016. In 2017, he produced Porsche's first VR commercial in Shanghai, as well as the award-winning VR TV commercial for Cross Fire, recognized by the China Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers.
In 2018, he joined Shanghai Gwantsi as Creative Director and Commercial Director, participating in numerous virtual productions. Additionally, in 2019, he served as the Head Visual Director for The Chengdu Giant Panda Museum, enhancing visitor experiences through innovative visual storytelling.
