Undergraduate and Post-secondary Programmes

Bachelor Honours Degree Programmes (QF Level 5)

The four-year Bachelor Honours Degree programmes provide the opportunity and time for students to develop responsibility for their own learning, as well as to reflect upon and enhance their performance. The aim is that, by limiting workload in major studies, students can engage in reflection and self-directed studies. The number of credits for graduation ranges from 130 minimum to 136 maximum across the Schools of Chinese Opera, Dance, Drama, Film and Television, Music, and Theatre and Entertainment Arts. Graduates are awarded a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Honours) degree, except for those from the School of Music, who are awarded a Bachelor of Music (Honours) degree.

Advanced Diploma Programme (QF Level 4)

The two-year Advanced Diploma programme provides students with a completely integrated training to prepare and to qualify the students for a professional career in their chosen art discipline. This programme is for those who have a Diploma but will not pursue further studies at Degree level.

The 1-Year Diploma Programmes (QF Level 4)

The one-year Diploma is structured to impart a broad understanding of and develop skills in the students' chosen performing arts/technical arts field offered by the Academy in preparation for studies in the Bachelor's Degree programmes.

* Offer of the Diploma in Chinese Opera Foundations in 2020/2021 is subject to approval by the Academic Board upon successful accreditation by the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications.


Certificate in Theatre and Entertainment Arts (Fast Track Vocational) (QF Level 3)

This one-year programme is structured to provide students with practical experience in the production disciplines of theatre, entertainment and performing arts. Students will be offered core studies within these disciplines as well as other supporting courses in the School. A student who has successfully completed this programme should have the ability to enter the entertainment industry at junior level.
