Under the supervision of the Internal Audit Manager, the Assistant Internal Audit Manager reports to the Head of Internal Audit. Major duties include, but are not limited to, delivering internal audit assignments and special projects independently; coaching and supervising junior members; applying internal audit tools and techniques (such as data analytics) to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of performing internal audit work; communicating with auditees about audit findings; providing insights/advice to auditees to optimise controls, processes and/or operations; supporting the Head of Internal Audit in preparing reports to the Council and the Audit Committee; assisting the team to develop leading internal audit activities/measures for continuous improvement; and driving better internal control and good governance practices within the Academy.
Applicants should:
(a) Possess a bachelor's degree from a recognised tertiary institution, preferably in Accounting, Risk Management, Business Administration, or a related field;
(b) Be a member of professional bodies, e.g., HKICPA, ACCA, CPA Australia, IIA or ISACA;
(c) Have at least 5 years of relevant experience, with prior exposure in education organisation(s) is highly preferred;
(d) Have an understanding of audit methodology, internal control frameworks, risk management principles, and regulatory requirements;
(e) Be able to complete an audit assignment independently with minimal supervision;
(f) Be fluent in written and spoken English and Cantonese, Mandarin is a plus;
(g) Be strong in report writing and verbal communication skills; and
(h) Be proficient in audit software and Microsoft Office Suite.
TERMS OF APPOINTMENT
Appointment will be on a two-year renewable contract, subject to performance and mutual agreement. A gratuity payment equals up to 10% of the total basic salary earned during the contract period, may be granted upon satisfactory completion of the full contract. The School of Dance of The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts will organize a Community Dance Project (the ‘Project’) from September 2025 for 3 years. The Project is funded by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust and aims to include people with Parkinson’s Disease through dance in the artistic and social life of Hong Kong. The project includes four core components: Train-the-Trainers Programme, Community Dance Workshops, Teaching Resource Development and Impact Studies.
The postholder will be responsible for daily project management and operation, production of marketing materials, programme reporting, accounting and fund disbursement to project partners. The Assistant Project Manager (Dance) will work closely with the Senior Project Manager (Dance) for the execution of the Project.
Applicants should have:
(a) A bachelor’s degree from a tertiary institution;
(b) Normally, at least 3 years of experience in dance learning and engagement programme development, community engagement and/or social innovation;

The Opportunity
The Deputy Director (Administration) plays a crucial role in providing leadership and guidance for developing and implementing the HKAPA's administrative and operational functions. This position is essential for establishing a robust structure and overseeing resource management and corporate development to support the Academy's strategic objectives and academic growth. The successful candidate will work closely with the Director, Deputy Director (Academic), Deans, and Senior Administrative Heads to enhance management processes and identify and capitalise on developmental opportunities to advance the HKAPA’s vision, mission, and objectives, particularly regarding new expansion initiatives. Key responsibilities include promoting high-quality services in corporate planning, communications, human resources, secretariat services for the Council, finance, digitalisation and AI, campus planning and development, facilities management, venue hiring and operations, student services, and the EXCEL programmes.
The Deputy Director (Administration) will report to the Director of HKAPA, and their responsibilities and duties will include:
Corporate Responsibilities
• Contribute to corporate leadership and management to achieve the Academy’s strategic objectives.
• Ensure alignment between the academic and administrative functions of the Academy, emphasising operational oversight and collaboration with senior administrative leaders.
• Collaborate closely with the Director to lead organisational change and enhance management processes.
• Represent the Academy on relevant external committees to promote the Academy’s strategies to government agencies and stakeholders.
• Foster and encourage collaboration across the Academy to ensure the effective use of human, financial, IT and space resources in achieving the Academy’s goals.
• Encourage and facilitate professional development, align with the appraisal and support of senior administrative staff.

• Plan and lead transformation in IT, digital and process enhancement to augment operational efficiency and effectiveness of the Academy.

Specific Duties
• Commit to upholding the Basic Law and safeguarding the national security of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China, whilst integrating these principles into the development of the Academy.
• Assist in realising the Academy’s vision and strategic plan by ensuring objectives are met through efficient resource management and streamlined processes.
• Formulate, develop, and execute policies throughout the Academy to align with its strategic goals.
• Oversee the management of the Academy’s daily operations, including the administrative departments and academic support services, through senior administrative department heads, to ensure high-quality service delivery that meets the needs of the Academy and its stakeholders.
• Supervise the management of appointed post-holders and take responsibility for the appraisal, support, and professional development of senior administrative staff.
• Work closely with the Director to prepare key strategic documents relevant to the role.
• Advise the Director on policies, finances, and administrative issues related to the Academy.

Requirements
The applicant should have:
• A minimum of 15 years of proven senior management experience in a leadership role within local and/or international tertiary institutions or large and complex organizations.
• A relevant university degree with a recognized institution; advanced qualifications such as MBA will be an advantage.
• A track record of leading a diverse portfolio of corporate functions and strong capacity of being an organization builder and a team player.
• Extensive track record in managing fiscal and administrative operations (including human resources), developing and implementing sizable capital and building projects, as well as risk and crisis management and solutions.
• Knowledge of building and construction designs, technologies, and green initiatives.
• Experience in liaising with government departments, statutory bodies, and business and professional sectors.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• High level of written and spoken proficiency in the English and Chinese. Fluency in Putonghua would be advantageous.

The Head of Composition will be a distinguished performing arts practitioner and/or composer-performer, dedicated to shaping the future of the Composition Department within the School of Music. Building on the department’s existing strengths, the Head will work collaboratively with other senior staff to drive forward innovative developments in performing arts education. This includes fostering advancements in electronic music production, music for applied media, and cross-disciplinary collaborations, ensuring the School remains at the forefront of creative and educational excellence.
Reporting to the Dean of the School of Music, the appointee is expected to oversee the Composition Department and be responsible for teaching, academic leadership and quality assurance in Composition teaching across all levels and programmes. The appointee is expected to lead curriculum design, course review and development in the Composition Department, undertake academic advising and supervision of Undergraduate and Postgraduate research projects, and strengthen the School’s international networks and collaborative projects.

(a) A recognised degree in Music or equivalent qualification (preferably a doctoral degree in Composition studies or relevant disciplines).
(b) A strong professional background and extensive professional experience as a composer and an educator.

The School of Film and Television offers major studies in Cinematography, Directing, Editing, Sound Design, Screenwriting, Digital Screen Design and Creative Producing. It is equipped with high level traditional film cameras and a wide range of high-definition (HD) video cameras, professional camera support equipment, digital sound recording systems and digital post-production facilities for picture and sound editing, immersive sound mixing, visual effects design and colour correction. The School houses teaching, screening and production facilities at two campuses. A multi-cam studio called the Screen Production and Research Centre (SPaRC) provides a location for emerging screen practices and interdisciplinary projects.
The postholder will be responsible to the Dean of the School of Film and Television. The postholder will be in charge of designing and delivering innovative courses that cover a wide range of topics in Film Technology, Screen Production, and Virtual Production, including advanced workflows utilizing LED walls, real-time rendering, and virtual camera systems. In addition to teaching, the post-holder will supervise student production projects, offering expert guidance on the latest tools such as Unreal Engine and camera tracking systems to enhance our students' practical skills in virtual production setups. The role necessitates collaboration with other departments, alumni, and industry professionals to create valuable learning experiences and foster partnerships for local and international projects. Furthermore, the Lecturer will contribute to the School’s research initiatives and creative outputs alongside engaging in academic service through participation in committees, curriculum development, and outreach events. Other responsibilities will be assigned by the Dean to support the academic mission of the institution. PART-TIME FRONT-OF-HOUSE USHERS

Appointees will report to the Senior Ushers and the Front-of-house Duty Managers. They will assist in front-of-house and venue management duties for performances and events hosted in the Academy venues. Appointment will be on a one-year basis. During the contract period, appointees are expected to work according to the working roster scheduled from time to time by the Manager of Venue Performance Unit.

PROJECT MANAGER - GREATER BAY AREA YOUTH ORCHESTRA

The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, with funding support from Swire Group, launched the Greater Bay Area Youth Orchestra (GBAYO) in July 2022, combining forces of the best young musicians across the Greater Bay Area.
The Project Manager reports to the Dean of the School of Music. The postholder will be contracted by and posted at the Academy, and will be responsible for providing administrative and operational support to all activities related to the GBAYO and the School of Music, including but not limited to maintaining the proposed budget; marketing and publicity; recruitment and audition; concert and tour preparations and production.
Qualifications:
(a) University graduate with a minimum of 5 years of relevant management experience in music or performing arts organisations;
(b) Good knowledge of and experience in events and tour planning, rehearsal and concert procedures;
(c) Experience in and have knowledge in social media content creation and website management;
(d) Good interpersonal and communication skills to work with different parties;
(e) Strong time-management and multi-tasking skills to manage competing priorities;
(f) Good computer literacy, particularly on Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Google forms;
(g) Skills in visual design, audio and video editing would be an advantage; and
(h) Fluency in English, Cantonese and Putonghua.
TERMS OF APPOINTMENT

The School of Dance of The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts will organize a Community Dance Project (the ‘Project’) from September 2025 for 3 years. The Project is funded by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust and aims to include people with Parkinson’s Disease through dance in the artistic and social life of Hong Kong. The project includes four core components: Train-the-Trainers Programme, Community Dance Workshops, Teaching Resource Development and Impact Studies.
The postholder will execute administrative duties and daily project coordination, including accounting and procurement procedures, booking of venue and equipment, project costing and reporting, and management of social media platform and digital technologies, and to perform routine office duties.

(a) A bachelor’s degree from a tertiary institution;
(b) Normally, at least 1 year of experience in project management, marketing and related area;
(c) Solid experience in managing social media platforms (ie, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, WeChat, Weibo and etc); and

The postholder will be responsible to the Supplies Manager. He/She is required to carry out duties relating to the purchasing and supply activities in the Supplies Office which shall include but not limited to the followings: -

TERMS OF APPOINTMENT
Appointment will be on a two-year renewable contract, subject to performance and mutual agreement. A gratuity payment equals up to 10% of the total basic salary earned during the contract period may be granted upon satisfactory completion of the full contract period. The amount of gratuity payable will be the sum which, when added to the Academy’s contribution to a Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) scheme as required by the MPF Schemes Ordinance, equals 10% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period.
