Major in Performance, specialised in Chinese Percussion
Law is currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. He began studying Chinese percussion and Western percussion with Tse Tsz Chung during his primary school years. After completing secondary school, Law was admitted to the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, where he focused on Chinese percussion under the guidance of Yim Hok Man and pursued Western percussion as a minor under Choy Lap Tak. In the academic year 22/23, Law was awarded the Tin Ka Ping Mainland Study and Exchange Programme, during which he studied Peking Opera percussion with Professor Wang Jianhua from the Central Conservatory of Music in mainland China. Law has also received training in percussion from Dr. Lung Heung Wing.
Law holds several positions in different Orchestra and he has been a member of the Chinese Orchestra under the Hong Kong Music Office for several years. He has traveled to cities such as Shanghai, Shenyang, Xi'an, and Singapore for exchange performances with the Hong Kong Youth Chinese Orchestra. Moreover, he has served as a percussionist in the solo ensemble for the concerto "Joyful Encounter of North and South" at the annual concert of the Hong Kong Youth Chinese Orchestra.
Law has joined the Independent Study programme organised by HKAPA EDuIT since 2023. Through participating in different workshops and projects, he has learnt different new technologies, such as AI and 3DVista, in the order to explore the possibilities of various forms of art performance. Law and Valencia Tung will be cooperating in a project called “Percussion Carousel”, which utilises the technology of 3DVista to introduce the backgrounds , performing gestures and techniques of percussion instruments.

Participating in the ELIA Leadership Symposium. Valencia is working with another Independent Studies Student Bell Law, to present Chinese and Western percussion performance with the music that was frequently heard during their childhoods in Mid-Autumn Festival. They also generated a video with AI technology based on the music being played.
