Admission Deadline on 11 Dec
The HKAPA Info Day 2023 was successfully held on 14 October. It was the first time an online Info Day was tailor-made for prospective students in Mainland China which successfully attracted participants from 12 locations including major cities in the Greater Bay Area. We are glad that our participants actively interacted with our faculty members in the School sessions to learn about the admission interview requirements and career prospects.
Inspiring Student Documentary Premieres at Info Day 2023
Our onsite participants particularly enjoyed our guided campus tour which showcased our world class facilities and the premiere screening of Let Us Shine held at the Wan Chai campus that enabled face-to-face interaction with the featured students who encouraged them to pursue performing arts with passion and determination.
We hope that the insightful stories of our students will encourage aspiring talents of Hong Kong to follow their hearts’ desire and let HKAPA help them develop their skills and talents. To show your support, you are also encouraged to recommend talented students through Principal's Recommendation Scheme to apply for the Academy. The application will end on 11 Dec. Seize the chance to let their talents shine!
The Let Us Shine documentary series is now available to view on the Academic Programme Highlights website. Please share the videos with your students and those who are interested in the Academy and our programmes.
Annual Performances Are On the Way!
Dance is much more than just beautiful body movements. Combined with theatre arts and music, dance can evoke powerful emotions on stage. Bring your students to experience the thrill of dance at the Dance Performance Matinee on 8 December (Fri) at 3pm at the Academy Lyric Theatre. Students from the School of Dance will perform three spectacular dances of ballet, contemporary dance and Chinese dance.
Looking for other stage performance? The School of Drama will present Juliet and Romeo, a Shakespeare's classic, on 11 December (Mon) at 7:30pm. Limited seats are left.
Bring Operatic Enjoyment to Your Students
Opera is for everyone. This December, our teachers and students from the Vocal Department of the School of Music will perform excerpts from Die Zauberflöte (The Magic Flute) and Le Nozze di Figaro (The Marriage of Figaro) by Mozart and Carmen by Bizet in full costume and without microphone. This is a perfect opportunity to give students the taste of live operatic performance.
Teachers and students are invited to attend the Academy Opera Scenes matinee performance on 15 December (Fri) at 3pm.
