The special screening of movie “Distinction” organized by The HKAPA Alumni Association was successfully held on 23 September 2018 in The Hong Kong Jockey Club Amphitheatre. The movie is directed by Mr Jevons Au, Film & TV alumnus and the twice Best Picture winner at the Hong Kong Film Awards, with participation of a number of Academy alumni.
The audience was given the privilege to preview the movie which was yet to be officially screened. A sharing session, hosted by Mr Sunny Chan, Chairman of HKAPA Alumni Association, was held after the screening. It was joined by Mr Jevons Au, former Dean of the School of Drama Dr Chung King-fai, main actress Ms Jennifer Yu and some alumni who participated in the movie production, including Ms May Fu, Ms Jomin Chan, Mr Jones Lee, Ms Jovi Hung, Mr Charles Lau, Mr Martin Lai and Ms Gigi Cheung. They talked about the interesting bits and pieces of the movie and the challenges they encountered during the production, providing a fruitful evening to the audience.
The net proceeds of the screening would be used to support the operation of the Association and scholarships for Academy students.
