About Development Office
In line with the Academy’s strategic fundraising initiatives, the Development Office takes a proactive role in extending the Academy’s network of friends, partners and other stakeholders as well as building strategic alliances. Apart from acquiring and securing donors and sponsors, the Development Office is also actively building and maintaining rapport relations with alumni through the Academy Alumni Association.
To celebrate the 40th anniversary of The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (the Academy), the Academy is delighted to partner with Shanghai Commercial Bank Limited in launching the “HKAPA Credit Card” exclusively for the Academy’s Council Members, staff, alumni and students.
The purpose of the Development Committee is to extend the Academy’s fundraising network and to raise funds. The Development Committee serves the long-term development needs of the Academy.
Established in 1989, The Society of the Academy for Performing Arts (SAPA) has helped raise the Academy's profile throughout Hong Kong. Through the generosity of numerous individuals, leading local companies and well known multinational corporations, the Society has been able to make a contribution to the development of the Academy and as a result Hong Kong has been able to encourage and retain its best and brightest performers and technical artists.
