Education Information Technology is a group of experts fluent in pedagogy and technology at The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (the Academy). Its mission is to support and foster innovative teaching, learning, and practice in the context of performing arts, with integration of emerging technologies.
    
The Academy is recruiting a Project Officer (IT Administration) to work for the Education Information Technology (EDuIT). The postholder will be responsible for providing clerical and general administrative support to the IT team under EDuIT. Major duties include managing user accounts and access rights, handling IT related purchase/procurement matters, supporting online meetings, assisting in development and implementation of IT policies and procedures, maintaining IT documentation and knowledge base, preparing training and promotional materials, preparing meeting notes and statistical data reports, providing administrative support to various IT projects, and performing any other duties assigned by the supervisors.

 

Applicants should:
(a) possess a recognised Bachelor Degree or higher qualification;
(b) be strong proficient in both written and spoken English and Chinese;
(c) be a good team player, with good communication and interpersonal skills; 
(d) possess excellent organizational and time management skills, who are self-motivated, attentive to details and able to multi-tasking;
(e) possess qualification(s) in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Studies, e-Commerce or related disciplines; or in English Language or related fields would be an advantage;
(f) have knowledge or interest in IT or experience in document management and procurement processes is preferred;
(g) possess relevant working experience in the tertiary educational sector would be an advantage; and
(h) fresh graduates with extensive intern or relevant experiences may also be considered.


TERMS OF APPOINTMENT
Appointment will be on a two-year contract.  Renewal of contract is subject to work performance and operational needs of the Academy.  A gratuity payment equals up to 10% of the total basic salary earned during the contract period may be granted upon satisfactory completion of the full contract period.  The amount of gratuity payable will be the sum which, when added to the Academy’s contribution to a Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) scheme as required by the MPF Schemes Ordinance, equals 10% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period. Fringe benefits include leave, medical, and dental benefits.  Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
