The postholder will assist the Campus Development Office in maintaining the buildings and facilities of the Academy. Duties include:
- Handling building repair and maintenance related works;
- Involved in improvement and renovation projects;
- Supervising works contractors and technicians;
- Assisting in monitoring statutory compliance of buildings and facilities;
- Performing shift and emergency duties, etc.
Applicants should have :
(a) (i) A Higher Diploma in Building Surveying / Building Studies / Engineering or other relevant disciplines with a minimum of 4 year’ experience in building repair and
maintenance; OR
(ii) A Higher Certificate in Building Surveying / Building Studies / Engineering or other relevant disciplines with a minimum of 6 years’ experience in building repair and
maintenance.
(b) Five passes in HKCEE or Level 2 or equivalent in five subjects in HKDSE subjects, including English Language and Chinese Language.
(c) Holding a valid safety training course certificate (commonly known as “Green Card”);
(d) Skill and experience in computer software applications including AutoCAD, MS-Office, etc.;
(e) A high degree of self-motivation, and good supervisory, interpersonal and communication skills; and
(f) Good written and spoken communications in both English and Chinese.
TERMS OF APPOINTMENT
Appointment will be on a two-year contract. Renewal of contract is subject to work performance and operational needs of the Academy. A gratuity payment equals up to 10% of the total basic salary earned during the contract period may be granted upon satisfactory completion of the full contract period. The amount of gratuity payable will be the sum which, when added to the Academy’s contribution to a Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) scheme as required by the MPF Schemes Ordinance, equals 10% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period. Fringe benefits include leave, medical, and dental benefits. Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
