The upcoming summer programme of the School of Dance will invite the audience to ponder in depth with three intriguing performances: Echoes of Existence by internationally renowned choreographer Tim Podesta which unravels themes of identity, authenticity, and the longing for genuine connection in an increasingly digital world; Yuan Xin (原心) that explores nature and mankind through the power of Tibetan will; and Human, Common Territory by internationally renowned choreographer Sharon Vazanna about the linkage between induvial human beings through what mankind have in common.

A Dialogue with Tan Dun – Visual Music & Empty Notes
The HKAPA Director's Leadership Series aims to bring professional and distinguished performing artists from around the world to share their views on performing arts and leadership. As the first guest of the Series, Tan Dun, a world-renowned conductor-composer, was invited in early April for a dialogue and sharing session with our Director Prof. Gillian Choa. He shared how he changed from a cynical young man to an embracing person through his exploration in music and encouraged students to acknowledge their own background and experiences so that they could become better artists.
