The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts welcomes the proposal of allocating additional resources to promote arts and culture, announced in today’s Budget briefing. Academy Director, Professor Gillian Choa, is pleased to see the proposed increase of resources in the performing arts, cultural and arts sectors, arts technology, and the heritage of Cantonese opera, all of which align with the long time strategic goals of the Academy.
Professor Choa believes that the measures will facilitate the developments of the arts and creative industry both locally and regionally. They will also have great impact on consolidating the Academy alumni’s development in the industry, and bring confidence to the Academy students in pursuing their career goals within the fields of arts and culture.
