The Academy Announces Closure of the Wanchai and Béthanie Campuses Until Further Notice
The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts has re-assessed the situation regarding the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak. In view of the risk of the spread of the Covid-19 through social contact, and with the continued concerns for the health and safety of staff, students and the general Academy community, a decision has been taken to continue to close both campuses beyond 1 March 2020 and until further notice. Emergency and essential services will continue to be provided on both campuses.

HKAPA Announces Academic Arrangements on the Commencement of Semester 2
In order to ensure that our students attain the learning outcomes intended for Semester 2, and are able to catch up on the residual learning from Semester 1, The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA) has announced that the Semester 2 is revised to fully cover 16 weeks of learning between 2 March 2020 and 27 June 2020. The summer term is rescheduled to take place between 29 June 2020 and 11 July 2020. Schools may use it as a buffer for students to catch up on their study, practice, and rehearsals if and when necessary. 2 March 2020 will remain the firm date for the commencement of Semester 2. Under the scenario of the continued closure of campus due to the development of Coronavisrus, the Academy will switch to the online/blended learning mode. Face to face delivery for practice-based courses will be resumed when the situation improves.

The Academy Announces the Closure of Wanchai and Béthanie Campus till 1 March.
The Academy announces to close both Wanchai and Béthanie campuses with immediate effect, until 1 March 2020. All classes and activities will be suspended during this period and students are not required to return to campus. Except for those providing emergency services, staff can work at home. Health and safety of staff and students remain the Academy’s top priority and concern.
