To celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, the musical What the Buddha Said, presented by the Academy's faculty and students, will be staged at the Academy's Lyric theatre. This original musical is inspired by one of the four classic Chinese literature, Journey to the West. It also features art technology incorporated performance and live accompaniment from the Academy Symphony Orchestra. It will provide the audience a unique experience that provokes reflection on the true meaning of the journey to obtaining scriptures.
Secondary Schools and Young Friends of the Academy are cordially invited to the preview of our musical production What the Buddha Said.
