HKAPA School of Film and Television will Present Nine Films at its Graduation Screening

5 Jun 2019

ftv

Hosted annually in June, the School of Film and Television (FTV)’s Graduation Screening presents the fruits of study of the graduating class to practitioners, industry professionals and the public. Each of these short films is jointly produced by students from the School's six majors, namely, Cinematography, Directing, Screenwriting, Editing, Sound, and Production Administration. In the year-long production process, students pool their expertise and creativity through step-by-step planning and execution, transforming their ideas into reality.

Nine films will be screened this year. The films cover different topics and were shot with distinctive styles – a number of them explore human relationship from uniquely different angles; a documentary features interviews with local artists; a film starring Stephanie Che was shot in Japan; and another film stars FTV alumnus Lam Sen (Best New Performer nominee at this year’s HK Film Awards).

The films are grouped into two programmes which will be screened at both the Academy Drama Theatre and The Metroplex; meet-the-audience sessions will be held after the two screenings at the Drama Theatre.
