Celebrating the Academy’s 35th Anniversary and the Woodwind, Brass and Percussion Department alumni’s achievements and contributions to the music scene in Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts will have a weekend-long Academy Winds Marathon in December 2019. The three-part event is led and organized by Head of the Woodwind, Brass and Percussion Department, Professor Yiu Song-lam.

 

The Symphonic Showcase on Saturday and Sunday mornings will lead off the event. This will be followed by the Fundraising Concert by Alumni Band, conducted and performed by our distinguished alumni and faculty.  On Sunday afternoon, the Academy Concert Band will perform a special Gala Concert in collaboration with alumni conductors. We are extremely excited to invite you to join us for this event.
