The Manager (Council Secretariat) will provide all-round executive support and assist the Principal Head (Council Secretariat and Human Resources) in overseeing the operation and services of the Council Secretariat. The appointee will also be responsible for carrying out administration and liaison work which include logistical arrangements for meetings and functions, preparation of agenda and papers of meetings, maintaining and updating records, liaison with other departments of the Academy and external organisations, and assisting in ad-hoc projects as assigned.
Applicants should have:
(a) A recognised university degree, or equivalent;
(b) At least 6 years of solid experience in providing secretarial services and/or executive support at senior level in sizable organisations;
(c) Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese; preferably proficiency in Putonghua;
(d) Meticulous attention to details and alertness to sensitive issues and matters;
(e) Strong organisational management, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to be an effective team leader as well as a collaborative team member; and
(f) Experience in handling governance issues in tertiary institutions would be an advantage.
TERMS OF APPOINTMENT
Appointment will be on a two-year renewable contract, subject to performance and mutual agreement. A gratuity payment equals up to 15% of the total basic salary earned during the contract period may be granted upon satisfactory completion of the full contract period. The amount of gratuity payable will be the sum which, when added to the Academy’s contribution to a Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) scheme as required by the MPF Schemes Ordinance, equals 15% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period. Fringe benefits include leave, medical, and dental benefits. Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
