Student Recruitment and Community Engagement Office (SRCE) had scheduled four campus tours on Open Day 2019. The response was overwhelming. Eight additional tours had been arranged to meet the demand. A total of 260 visitors joined the campus tours to discover the hidden corners of the Academy.
Three student ambassadors majored in Acting from the School of Drama, and Vocal Studies, as well as Composition and Electronic Music from the School of Music were trained to be the tour guides. They introduced the history, architecture and facilities of the Academy enthusiastically to the visitors. The participants expressed that the tour was informative yet fun. They found that it was an eye-opening experience to visit the backstage workshops, TV studio and theatres, and they appreciated the sharing of the student ambassadors during the tour.
A secret guest, the famous actor Anthony Wong Chau-sang, appeared in one of the tours in the afternoon session. The visitors were so happy to greet this friendly alumnus of the Academy.
