MAK Yui Wan, Charlotte

School of Music
Major in Performance, specialised in Cello

 

Mak Yui Wan Charlotte first started learning cello at the age of 6. After years of dedication and hard work, she is currently a year three student of Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, majoring in Cello Performance, under the tutelage of Dr. Letty Poon.

 

As the recipient the HKSAR Government Scholarships Fund- Scholarships for Outstanding Performance in Music and the ABRSM Scholarship.  These acknowledgements reflect truly her commitment and dedication in music.

 

Beyond her individual achievements, Charlotte is honoured to be involved in the Cello Festival, both as performers and as a committee member. As she prepared for the Cello Festival, Charlotte recognized the value of having a diverse skill set in her career, that she took the initiative to join the independent study organised by the EDuIT, to learn about promotional materials design and event management, mentored by EDuIT tutor Mr. Alfred Li.
